In
2005/6, we
helped Wolverton Rotary Club build a school in Kwa-Zulu
Natal.
In
2006/7, we supported
Aquabox and Shelterbox as a District project.
Educational
goods to the value of £20,000 have been collected and sent to
schools in Africa through the charity School-Aid

Our
1st Vice-Chairman, Emmeline Lambert, has cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats
to raise money.
In
2004-5, this District raised over £5,000
for Breast Cancer Haven, over £37,000 for domestic charities and nearly £15,000
for overseas charities.
I.W.clubs
throughout the whole of Great Britain have collected enough money (in excess
of £40,000) to buy and equip a mobile audiology unit
and solar powered hearing aids for Sound Seekers’ work in Uganda,
and over £120,000 for Sight Savers.
Although
we are an autonomous organisation, we support the work of Rotary whenever we
can.
We give practical service to the community whenever possible.
